“Who is Lady Gaga?”

Lady Gaga the American recording artist was born on 28^th March 1986 to parents Joseph Germanotta who was an Italian American and Cynthia Bisset. She was christened Sefanie Joanne Angelina Germanotta. From the very tender age of four she was extremely interested in music and started learning the piano at that age. She wrote her first piano ballad when she was 13 and started off her performance at open mike nights from the very next year.

Her first sign up was with DefJam records when she was 19 but soon after joined RED One with whom she made her first song called “Boys, Boys, Boys”. She then worked at Interscope Records as songwriter for many acts and that included Akon, who coerced her chairman to sign her in to a deal that was labeled Akon’s Kon Live Distribution.

It was Rob Fusari who coined the name Lady Gaga after the Queen Song “Radio Ga Ga” and it came at a time when Stefanie Germanotta was looking for a stage name and the name stuck. She has never been called Stefanie since.

Her first album ‘The Fame” that was released in 2008 was a runaway hit and roaring success, getting number one rating in the Billboard Top electronic Albums Chart in the US. The two songs in it “Just Dance” and “Poker face” became such fantastic hits.

In 2008 she had moved into Los Angeles and in spite of the fact that her first contract tour was an opening act for the Interscope pop group, her own concert tour known as “The Fame Ball Tour started in the March of 2009.Lady Gaga was picked as one of the top “10 Most Fascinating People of 2009” by Barbara Walters in her yearly ABC News special.
